Dates: July 1 - July 15, 2018*

Departure City: Houston, TX (IAH). Your team will assemble at a church near your departure airport and debrief at that same site upon your return.

Age Requirements: Must be at least 15 by beginning of trip.

Overview:YMI-Peru is located in Lima, which is the capital city of the country and a part of the central costal region. Populated by around 9 million people, it is the fifth largest city in South America and the second largest desert capital city in the world. Home to about 1/3 of the Peruvian population, it is a place with great weather, interesting food, and friendly people. Peru, as a whole, is a country known for its diversity in geography: from the Amazon Rainforest to the Andes Mountains to the beautiful beaches. 

Ministry Description:
The team will be working alongside the local missionary and the church “Divino Redentor Missionary Church” located in the heart of the city. The team will be doing evangelistic outreach to kids and adults, using their testimonies, face-painting, song with motions, puppets, evangecubes, and pantomimes. Be ready to do some park ministry, too! Kids get together after school every afternoon to play on the streets or parks near to their houses.

Food and Lodging:
You will be staying in a local missionary's home, a mission guest house or a hotel. While you are there, food will be prepared for you by the local people. The food will consist of food common to the region.

Airport & Transportation:
Mission Differently will arrange all of your transportation during your trip as it is included in the trip cost. Your team will fly into Lima International Airport.

Visa & Passport:
You will need to possess a passport that will be valid at least 6 months after the date you return home from the trip. No visa is required for your trip.

Please consult your doctor local travel clinic and the CDC (Center for Disease Control) website at for information on appropriate vaccinations for your country of destination.
