"Bom dia" means good morning!
We can't believe a week has already gone by. The children's camp ended yesterday and we had a couple of children accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. Many children said their faith grew just by coming to camp. At first the children were hesitant relating to the Americano YMI team but by the end of the week they couldn't stop hugging us and many were crying because camp ended. Our daily schedule looked like this...breakfast, praise and worship, morning lesson, small group discussions, crafts/games, lunch, free time at the beach or park, dinner, praise/worship, and testimonies.
Our YMI team adjusted to the Portugal culture very well. At first, the language barrier was a frustrating because most of the children didn't speak English. Thank God there are Portuguese translators willing to help. The Portuguese staff are very warm and hospitable. They go out of their way to try to please us. Today we will go to a church by the beach. This church ministers to the beach goers and surfers. It is an English speaking church. We don't know what to expect but it sounds very interesting.
This coming Monday and Tuesday we will go to a Teen Challenge facility. Wednesday we will take a tour around Porto. Thursday and Friday we will help with a family camp. God is doing great things here in Esmoriz. We are being blessed and growing in our faith in so many ways. To God be the Glory!
